The show is amazing, and most happily I find myself capable of purchasing it online. Oh joy of joys when I discover yet another avenue for distraction and procrastination. As if it isn’t hard enough to do something actually productive with my time. That said, I’ve not yet purchased this demonic timesink as of yet, for I do not have the much needed magic paper known as “money” to buy it. This upsets me.

I remember getting up super early before school just to watch this show on Nickelodeon. Waking up at half six on weekends (when I was ten, that’s like asking a rock to move) just to sneak down and watch it. When everyone else was quoting Homer Simpson, I was quoting GIR and the Almighty Tallest. When everyone else was waiting with bated breath for the newest Futurama episode, I was waiting for more of the delicious Dib. Then the show got cancelled.

I felt like my heart had shattered in two, and I was only eleven. I was confused and betrayed. Nickelodeon! How could you do this to me?!

In time I moved on, but the pain of that heartbreak forever remained with me. So, naturally, when Youtube showed up with clips of this show which had shaped my twisted and ever shifting mindscape, I was so overjoyed I think I may have exploded once. Possibly twice. Exploding hurts a lot, so it’s quite possible I blanked it out of my mind altogether. None can say.

I also, in my older (fourteen) year old state of mind, tracked down other works of the dread creator of this abomination of a children’s show. Jhonen Vasquez. And by the Flying Spaghetti Monster if I wasn’t please with what I found. Comics the likes of which I had never seen: JTHM, I Feel Sick (there’s TWO of them!)…. Such wonders indeed.

Thank you Zim, for you have helped me stay entertained far beyond your means.

I am posting?

WHAT MADNESS IS THIS?!

In all seriousness though, I (once again) have vowed to keep this website more updated. College is due to start again in a couple of weeks, which should provide plenty of stories to tell people. I’ve spent my entire summer thus far either writing stuff or hanging out with friends. Basically anything that’s not conducive (I don’t even know what that word means) to my passing college or creating games. Huzzah for me. Though my social life has been impacted by the constant hacking of my MSN Live account, which results in totally random people blocking me, or me blocking them, or themn suddenly vanishing from my cyberspace. It’s really quite distressing.

I’m soon to open a new section to the website, to display any writing things I currently have in the works (or rather, that I’ve completed). For those who don’t currently know (and those who care), there is a place online where I post my sub-par and free to read writings. Occasionally though, I will put more effort into writing something to the degree that it shall span several chapters and several thousand words. Those, hopefully, will be published to provide me some kind of income. Finger’s crossed. If not…I’ll post them in the writing section for you all to enjoy.

QUESTION TYME GUISE: Do I shut down my Livejournal, so I have one less place to worry about? Or do I keep it open and publish stuff there as well?

I will, in time, start posting stuff from there to here as well. I’ve been working for a while on a project of writing stuff, a vast universe of stories which are all interlinked, and that story will be posted here to be read, as well as on the LiveJournal. For now, subscribe to there until I can get the good stuff from there posted to this blog as well. It’s coming, I promise.

Simply put, I’m swamped. Between college/uni work and work for Twilight Shadow I’ve been on the edge of total breakdown. Also, thanks to major setback including (but not limited to) two hard drive failures, difficulty with a game engine and a misfire during the install of Windows 7, I’ve fallen miles behind on Remnants. It was just a case of too many stumbling blocks in a short space of time, and then I just lost the will to continue. However, as things calm down and settle, I shall endeavour to rekindle my game-making spirit. After all, Remnant has been in production for two years now, which is longer than even some big-name game companies take. ViolentSleep Industries = Epic Fail it would seem.

Also, Twilight Shadow Studios has been working on Shadow Warfare Round 4, which I can tell you is looking damn impressive. We have some features in which are simply amazing, and all balancing issues seem to have been worked out. We’re hoping to have SWR4 out within the next week or so, complete with a TSS Portal system so I’ll keep you posted on that as it happens.

I am also aware that the blog/news section of my website appears weird in Internet Explorer. All I can suggest to people having that problem is either: Deal with it, until I find out why IE is being stupid and making things look broken, or find yourself a proper web browser such as Firefox or Chrome (I recommend Chrome personally).
